The Day after Christmas

Well, it's me again after a long time off from blogging. Brad has been worrying me to death to update my blog. Sometimes I just need a kick in the pants, thanks Brad.

I will start by saying that Christmas is over and I can't figure out if I'm glad or sad. I'm glad that the hustle and bustle is over but sad to know that we have to wait a whole year again till Christmas. It was a real excitement to see our kids open their presents this year, they are 8 and 12 years old and this year seemed to be the best. They really enjoyed it and they really know the true meaning of Christmas which I think that we all forget sometimes especially when we are at Wal-Mart.

We had some nice family time yesterday as Ann's parents came over for lunch. The kids had the grandparents playing their games and one may have thrown out his arm on the Wii baseball.
Last night the kids were having a "jam session" because one received a keyboard and the other a electric guitar. No one gave us earplugs for Christmas either so we may be a little hard of hearing come Sunday. The kids were really worn out yesterday because they got up at 6:00am and went to bed at 11:30pm last night. It is 11:10am right now and they are still asleep! Which is why I am able to blog a little.

I hope all the parents had a great time getting all the kids gifts out of the packages with the plastic and the wire and the sewn-in hair. If we only could use dynamite!! Some of these things should come with its own toolbox to get it opened, you know what I'm talking about.

Well, we all had a wonderful Christmas and a great candlelight service on Sunday night also. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and wish you all a Happy New Year!!

Joe
